Karen Johnson

Dr. Karen Johnson began her career in aviation maintenance as a base mechanic with Air Evac Lifeteam. In 2005, she joined the Department of Aviation Technologies at Southern Illinois University Carbondale teaching in both the part 147 and helicopter specialization programs and most recently, the aviation maintenance management degree program. While at Southern Illinois University Carbondale, Johnson earned a Master of Education in curriculum and instruction and a Doctor of Education in learning systems design and technologies. Johnson also independently consults with educational institutions toward their online delivery goals.
